About us
One of my biggest obstacles was not being able to speak the local language when I moved. This made my transition even more challenging. As expats, we can deal with feelings of unfamiliarity when walking down a new street or driving around a new city. Because I know these feelings of uncertainty and frustration all too well, I decided to start my own relocation company to alleviate the stress and worry that I endured during my many moves. I believe everybody should feel at home anywhere they choose to call their home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Moving from London to Amsterdam for work, I didn't expect searching for rental properties to actually become more difficult but, after several ignored posts on Facebook groups and swift rejections on Kamernet/Pararius, I knew I needed help to find a place in time. I contacted many of the relocation services, but it was ExpatsbyExpats that stood out from the pack. In our first interaction Jo-Ann was friendly, attentive and informative and this attitude continued during the search. Given the short time period, it seemed very unlikely I would find a place by my start date but Jo-Ann's knowledge of the city and tirelessness to find a place that suited my needs led to us finding a great property in time! We ran into many tough situations finding a place in Amsterdam (house viewings with 40+ people, and even one property that actually lied about a room!) but, given her experience as both a relocator and an Expat herself, she always had a plan. We spoke a lot during the process and it's clear relocation is both a passion and skill of hers, and the results prove themselves.
