Main Course: steak ( 1st on the menu ) medium rare. Got it exactly the way I wanted. Very - Very good! Desert: Dirck thingy with cream and strawberry's: don't bite your fingers while you're at it.....it's that good! I'll be back at Fat Dirck as soon as I get back to Harderwijk.

Portions are huge, meats are well prepared and tasty. Deserta are delicious. Tip: call and make a reservation in advance, because most of the time it is a full house.
J	J H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant has a nice ambience. The interior is well-designed and really sets the mood. It is cosy yet spatial & retro yet modern. The food is decorated nicely and I can't dislike the style. Unfortunately though, the hamburger I received was almost entirely raw inside. The inside doesn't look as great as the outside. Next to that, it even had a bitter piece of burned meat or charcoal on it. This left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth that I couldn't even wash away with two gulps of my Pepsi. After all, the experience I had here was exactly that. Good at first sight but it left me with a bitter aftertaste, as the Dutch saying goes. One person I was with ordered spareribs. Others had a taste from that and said it was really good; it looked amazing too. The staff was nice too, even though I heard some negative stories. They apologised for the hamburger and asked if I wanted a replacement. That was really nice and they handled the situation quite well. Therefore I can't give it any less than 2 stars, but not much more than that either. If I had the choice, I would probably go to another restaurant next time. There are enough to find in the city of Harderwijk!
