Zelfs geen een ster waard. Slechte communicatie en valse beloftes. Wacht al sinds juni 2020 op een fiets die elke maand zogenaamd in voorraad komt. Wordt ook niet op de hoogte gehouden maar moet zelf steeds mailen. Wat een slecht bedrijf! Oh en als je een slechte recensie neerzet wordt er wel snel gebeld en gereageerd maar dat is normaal niet zo. Nee bedankt, ik heb dezelfde fiets bij een ander bedrijf gekocht en was binnen 2 weken geleverd.. toch wel gek dan?!
Not even worth a star. Bad communication and false promises. Been waiting for a bike that supposedly comes into stock every month since June 2020. Is also not kept informed, but must always email yourself. What a bad company! Oh and if you write a bad review, you will be called and answered quickly, but that is normally not the case. No thanks, I bought the same bike from another company and was delivered within 2 weeks .. is it crazy ?!

Pas op! Bestel hier niet!!! Fiets besteld met kinderzitjes en windscherm. Bij het leveren van de fiets een briefje aangetroffen dat het windscherm volgt! Anderhalf jaar later nog steeds geen windscherm ontvangen. Gebeld om aan te geven dat deze nog steeds niet ontvangen is. Als antwoord dat men erin duikt. 2 weken later nog niks gehoord dus nog eens gebeld. Als antwoord dat ze niet kunnen terug vinden of deze alsnog bezorgt is en omdat het nu wel heel lang geduurd heeft vindt men dat ze deze ook niet meer hoeven te leveren want u komt pas zo laat hiermee. De wereld op z’n kop. Maar ik had misschien de eerdere reviews moeten lezen. Ga niet met dit bedrijf in zee. Het zijn niks meer dan oplichters en bedriegers.
Look after! Do not order here!!! Bike ordered with child seats and windshield. Found a note when delivering the bike that follows the windshield! A year and a half later, still no windshield received. Called to say still not received. The answer is to dive in. 2 weeks later still hadn't heard anything so called again. As an answer that they cannot find back whether it has been delivered and because it has now taken a very long time, they think that they no longer have to deliver it because you only arrive so late with this. The world upside down. But maybe I should have read the previous reviews. Do not do business with this company. They are nothing more than scammers and impostors.

Last friday (march 10th) i visited Edam -as i do every spring as a cycling guide- with a group of nice french canadian cyclist. Since this is always the last day of cycling after a week long boat/bike vacations, i always send some people to this shop to buy bike related stuff to bring back home. They have nice genuine and very original bike paniers and some great biking accessories that we don't find in Canada: always great souvenirs and/or gift to bring back home. Some of the people in our group had the worst ever experience in this bike shop on that day ! The employee (owner ? manager ?)even kicked one person in our group in the butt because he "touched" a E-Bike that was on display. This rude person also grabbed a customer by the forearm because he was looking and maipulating some bike paniers !! This same person also told my people that this wasn't a tourist shop and that we should not be there. None of us are thiefs, criminals or bad people ! All of us are middle aged easy going cyclists and very respectfull human beeings. First I tough these unacceptable behaviors could deserve a complaint to the authorities (police) but i just went back to the shop and told the staff i would never ever come back to this shop and would never ever send customers there. Dutch people are always very kind and friendly...except at Ronald Schot Bike shop. If ever you visit Edam, please avoid this shop and go spend your money elsewhere ! I mean it.

Edam is the perfect place to start a bike tour in the beautiful Northern region of Amsterdam. We rented out three e–bikes on a Sunday morning. The booking process was easy and convenient, the bikes were in a good condition and Ronald Schot was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our bike tour and would rent out bikes at his place again.

Three generations of our family hired bicycles from this company last week. Three of us were experienced cyclists, a third was a confident thirteen year old and then there was an anxious young girl and her 72 year old Granny. All of us had a super time. The staff were very friendly and carefully fitted the strong and stable bikes to our needs. They advised about a practice area and about a circular route to Edam and back. We thought the price very reasonable and those of us who would wear them had helmets. Do use this company , we highly recommend them. Thankyou Ronald Schot

Tips for non-locals, know what you want ahead of time, dont look around, keep the visit short, pay, and get out! The shop has a great selection of bikes and accessories, and everything is on nice presentable open displays, but i got the impression that the owner does not like browsing. Which is a shame, because i wanted to keep looking and grabbing more things to buy, but it is clearly a look, DON'T TOUCH, and dont look too much, or look too long, kind of place. If it is such a bother for the owner to have customers browsing at the displays, then maybe it would be helpful to put everything behind a counter, and also list all the products online, so the customer knows what they want ahead of time when the come in the store. I was being as polite and friendly as possible, i even asked if i was doing something wrong and if he wanted me to leave, but after 10-15 minutes, I had enough of the over-eccentric priceless museum security guard personality, and left with only a few things. Maybe he had some bad experiences with forigners, or maybe it was partly a language barrier, although he did seem to speek and understand English very well. Nevertheless, this person lost a bigger sale today, and lost a buyer wanting to support a local business. Other pet-peaves... I asked if he had bike tools, he said tools are across the street at the hardware store. Ok no problem, although it did seem odd for a bike store to not have tools, but 5 minutes later i found a set of tools on his display. Really, what was that all about? No disrespect to his loyal customers, and no disrespect to others who had a good experience here, but I will not be coming back.

I bought a bike online and had it delivered to my door, ready to go. They had everything I needed to get the family out on a bike, from accessories to child seats. The communication and service from Ronald Schot is excellent and I can definitely recommend them.
