★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel does not deserve 4 stars at all. How was it graded 4 stars?!
Our room looked so tired, dirty carpet, tired furniture, tired pillows, bed linen were ok. There are no drinks, you cannot make tea or coffee in your own room. The bathroom was ok.
We decided to go to sauna, once we entered we got unpleasant feeling, then we found dirty towels on the floor, in the changing room smelled really bad/disgusting, so we decided not to go there, when we went to give the key back from the sauna, the recepcionist did not even say sorry. 4 stars hotel... Pfff...
The restaurant food was quite alright, the staff was nice, but again, restaurant looked so tired. The ONLY location which is good is the location, the "hotel" is situated indeed in the woods, so you can enjoy a nice walk in the nature.
P.s. One important factor, perhaps for some people, this place is NOT children friendly, there are stairs everywhere you go and no designated ramps. We did not check it before, and were struggling with our bassinet stroller to go up and down.
Overall, I can grade our experience only 2 stars, but not 1, thanks to the restaurant stuff and the location. Otherwise would put 1 star for disgusting sauna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place in midst of nature. Very peaceful, you hear only birds:) basic simple accommodation. Lots of nice hiking routes, forest walks and various activities provided by the hotel (swimming pool, tennis and more) and various sightseein gplaces all around. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great place for the escape to the nature!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel is actually not a hotel but a bungalow park with hotel services. Our room (the first floor of a bungalow) was a bit shabby and it wasn't properly cleaned when we arrived. The nature is nice around, though, and the famous Hoge Veluwe park is quite close by car. If you're with kids and/or with a pet, you should consider this place to have some time far from the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a nice hotel. The 90 rooms are spread out over separate buildings. The reception is located in a separate building as well. The hotel rooms are located on the ground (with a terrace) and first floor (unfortunately without balcony). The restaurant is located in another separate building on top of a hill (with a nice view of a paddock) and unfortunately only accessible by stairs (48 steps). The area is beautiful for bike rides and walks. And the hotel is not too far from Apenheul (a monkey zoo) in Apeldoorn.

The location in the Veluwe forest is very nice and calm, but the accommodations were quite outdated and in bad need of renovations. Several holes in the drywall-ceiling, missing smoke detectors, poorlyinsulated windows and floors so you could hear the neighbours in your house.
Furthermore some problems with booking & reservation, since no family-apartments were available we needed two rooms for us and our daughters. Instead of getting a house with two apartments, we were placed in different houses. Definitely not nice for girls aged 10 and 13 when there is a spooky forest around and between the houses.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let me start by saying I know this place sinds a long time it was really good before but now the service is just disgusting. The receptionist was so not professional and not nice at all. Omg the restaurant no one in the group had a proper meal. The meat was a block, pasta was like water. I’ll never but ever recommend this place, it’s just terrifying…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location in nature, so that's definitely worth it! The restaurant is located in the beautiful main building, but the sleeping lodges are located in separate houses. These are very outdated without any character at all. The interior also looks like it was inspired by Soviet Union in the 80s. Quite the disappointment. With a bit of an effort and a small upgrade here and there, both the interior ánd exterior of the houses could be improved a lot.
