β β β β β Where to begin? Letβs start right at check-in.
Arriving felt unwelcoming, as throughout the stay staff were pretentious and patronizing. Which feels horrible as someone coming from far away to see the beautiful Veluwe and hoping for a nice getaway from the city and pretentious ridiculousness.
The entire time we were eyed by regulars that seemed to frequent the overpriced restaurant and surrounding seating area, so far as to ogle at us with grimaced faces, as if we were dumping up the place with our modest attire and hiking gear.
After a day out exploring we decided to book the sauna, and it was absolutely and impossibly filthy.
The squeegee used for the floor was caked with dirt and grime from muddy feet and shoes trodding through to the chairs to undress.
Hygiene is severely lacking, as the sauna smelled like awful body odour and the shower walls were scummy.
The room we slept in was cozy and the bed was clean, but the bathroom was the most interesting. The bathroom windows are large frosted glass, and at night if your neighbour took a bath there was little to leave for the imagination if you were coming back to your room or standing outside for a smoke. Which made me wonder how many other guests saw me bathe in the few days we stayed.
Our neighbours in the same building as us demonstrated how poorly insulated the walls and floor are to sound. Unfortunate, considering downstairs was a school group that wasnβt above enjoying a slice of freedom at 1am by playing music and guffawing like mules.
Iβm sorry to give the princess only 2 stars, but it is royally far from deserving of much more.
If there were improvements to hygiene and planning out where they place guests, it wouldβve been a far different story. It might also be beneficial explaining to staff that just because a guest doesnβt look like they drive a Ferrari or own a yacht, doesnβt mean youβre entitled to treat them like a rat in the kitchen. If only any interaction with staff didnβt seem like an absolute inconvenience to them, as it wouldβve been easy to report any issues before they run for the hills when they see you coming.

β β β β β This hotel used to be Golden Tulip Victoria Residence.
Gorgeous nature around it. You can reach 10min by car to the village of Woeste Hoeve with beautiful greenery and pine forest along the way.
The hotel has private chalet or rooms in 2 stories building.
The bar has 2 lines of bowlings. The outdoor terrace is perfect to enjoy coffee when the weather is nice outside.
Lovely!

β β β β β We used the amazing 25 euro p.p.p.n. including breakfast. We got a small but more than ok room (even had a tiny balcony!). The location itself is great, surrounded by nature. The room could have a been a bit cleaner and the service was unfortunately not very good. We wanted to have dinner at their restaurant but were told we could not because they only had one staff member working that evening... so definetly book in advance dinner if you want to eat there!

β β β β β Good hotel with good facilities. Rooms a bit out of date - but the price is absolutely relevant and "user friendly".
I've spent several nights in the hotel, took many of my colleagues there, eaten in their restaurant and used their facilities to organize meetings for the company I work for.
The hotel has very nice location in the middle of forests.
Polite, friendly and helpful personel.
Good facilities - bar, restaurant, pool and bowling.
I recommend for private and for business.

β β β β β The nature around this place is lovely. I felt like I was on vacation. Rooms are OK, clean, a bit old fashioned. The restaurant has delicious options for all meals. I recommend going there for the nature and hiking around the hotel!

β β β β β Cheap and run down hotel in a beautiful green area. What you pay is what you get. In any event, DO NOT make our mistake of having dinner at the hotel restaurant... The people are friendly, yet service is a total disaster, as they simply have way too little personnel to run it. After sitting at our table for more than 30 mins at arrival, we had to clean our own table and our drinks order was lost. Special and favorite desert were no longer available.

β β β β β We had a rather large quiet room and a good twin beds. Our interest was the parque
Hoge Veluwe and its museum Kroeller-Mueller. This is at a small distance and we good
enjoy both.

β β β β β Lots of amenities such as a swimming pool and sauna, nice rooms, but unfortunately the interior is a bit old. It looks like it's been cleaned, but perhaps due to a lack of customers the room had been collecting dust for a while.
Also, there's traces of limescale which should require more attention.
Dinner was pretty good actually.
Quite a small assortment of breakfast for what one pays (15 euros). But overall, if you're looking for rest and comfort, this is a good place for a relatively low price.
