β β β β β Bad housekeeping. Toilet, mirrors, tv looks just dirty... Under bed alot of dust, no kattle in room, some old cigarets on balkony. Super nice and kind nightwath, nice and friendly frontdesk, newb breakfast worker and not so Good service there. In general was good but housekeeping is bad...

β β β β β As part of a tour group, and travelling alone, my reservation was for a room with two separate beds. But the room I got had the single beds arranged as a marital bed. When separating the beds, the placement of the closet and couch ended up positioning the wall-mounted bed-side lamps right over the mattress. And to add insult to injury, the floor under the beds was very dirty.
This is unacceptable!!
As other reviewers have noted, the furnishings are showing a lot of wear and tear. i.e. the upholstery of the loung chairs in the dinning room is worn and flaking of down to the substrate, giving an unappetizing impression.

pros:
Perfect location - directly at the beach
free parking (out of season)
really huge rooms
fresh fruit cocktail at the breakfast
good prices for the rooms
good restaurant
cons:
You cannot change your travel plans - the hotel will not refund any booked night
So not usable for business travellers as often you have to leave earlier
The coffee was terrible. So I asked for a cappucino which the staff wanted to charge to my room.
In a four star hotel? Nowadays even two star hotel has a coffee machine with coffee "specialities".
After some discussion with the reception it was agreed, that it is no problem to get a cappucino.
So the next morning, I asked again for one. After 10 min I finished my breakfast and still had no cappucino.
That is not the service I expect in a four star hotel.
If you can accept the cons, the hotel might be OK for you.
The next time I will book the one at Ijmuiden beach again.
Also four star but with fitness room & sauna included and a perfect breakfast.

β β β β β About 5 min walk from the beach, 10 min walk to the town. There are different activities you can do at the beach like paragliden, kite flying etc. It's a good hotel for a reasonable price. It has it's own parking place, but it's not for free. If you are late for breakfast it can be quite crowded. (of course)

β β β β β The staff just cant do enough to help you here. We came and stayed for 2 weeks with 2 teens and a dog. I'm vegan and the wonderful restaurant staff took great care of me at breakfast. The locations is fabulous too. I guess this is very much reflected in the price which is compared to a central London premier.

β β β β β It's just a hotel and it has everything you need; comfortable beds, proper bathrooms and overall clean rooms. Every morning there is a delicious buffet. The location is both good and bad; it's only several meters away from the beach, which is amazing, but there are factories really nearby as well. Because of this, there is a stench hanging above the whole village, including the hotel itself. You don't notice it inside, but I would say this is a con. The factories also ruin the view if you're on a certain side of the hotel. Despite the presence of the factories, I do recommend this hotel, simply because it provides everything necessary and is close to the beach.

β β β β β It's located in a very lovely place around beautiful dune's and lovely village.. the hotel personnel is awesomely polite and the cleaning crew also!! The only thing is be there during the day to sleep the noise isolation is not good so you'll hear people moving furniture very often...
