Radiator didn’t work in our first room and they upgraded it to the most luxurious one no cost added, we had a wonderful 2 day stay

Really appreciate this hotel, good guest services and you relly feel welcome. Quite an older public, think average is above 60. Really good restaurant where the food is really good. Price is normal. The nature is excellent around it an an nice vieuw from the room. Hotel is surrounded by nature and close by the beach.

Stayed here for a night with my girlfriend. Had a lovely time. Bed was a little too soft for me, but the bathroom was clean and spacious. Food and service was good. Location is very nice, great for walks

Unfortunately a total scam. You are not even within sight of the castle and the hotel has motel character (one-storey bungalo building) the rooms have a "nice" view of the parking lot. The orangerie is not used for breakfast, so if you want to stay in the only respectable room of the hotel, you have to pay. Unfortunately, we are very disappointed because of the scam character.

The hotel is not in the castle but located on the property only. It's decent but basic. The bathrooms are old. Nothing special. Coffee is included per stay, not per night. And additional coffee in your room costs €1.50 per capsule. Really strange.

THE LOCATION: very pleasant, a bit far from the town of Renesse. A very nice, relaxing place with a pretty terrace out of sight, a large and easily accessible car park. People with reduced mobility OK ?. The restaurant is very spacious and very pleasant in terms of atmosphere. The tables are well spaced and allow (COVID) to have privacy during your meal. The decoration is interesting, with 2 beautiful fireplaces on each side of the room. ACCOMMODATION: reservation of a table by phone. We asked for a table near the window. The receptionist passed on the information but in the end the reserved table was not the one we requested. We had to ask the manager of the room to have a table near the window. The manager told us that it is the reception that says things, but that the reception does not say no to customers so as not to have conflicts with the customers! SERVICE: we had to wait 40 minutes before being served the first course! the room was not full and several customers were served before us! For the rest of the dishes, the speed of service was correct, with a smile and friendly. THE MEAL: the starter, an assortment of things, was rather simple and without scope for me. Nice but not up to the asking price. For the main course (lamb stew) the stew was served in a very small casserole dish, the portion was tiny !! Admittedly it was pleasant, but the quantity of meat was really very low in my opinion. The accompaniment consisted of small potatoes also in very small quantities. I had the impression (this review is only mine) that the restaurant wants to build a reputation that it can't wait. The whole meal was just nice but ultimately disappointing compared to what we expected. We didn't want to have desserts for fear of being disappointed again. All cutlery and crockery and towels were clean, dry and free of wear. THE PRICE: expensive in my opinion for the quality and the quantity, the quality and the quantity are not at the expected level and low compared to the asking price. Only the waitress (dinner on September 18) understood that there was something wrong from the start due to the 40 minute wait. I believe she tried to move the service forward but did not dare to come up to us to talk to us, to give an apology or an explanation. It's a shame because for a restaurant that wants to be at this level, would it be necessary to train staff to improve or optimize the quality of service? Restaurants have the right to make mistakes, but the quality of the restaurant is also judged by the staff's ability to react (when things are going well but also when things are not going well). This restaurant (this is just my opinion) does not meet the standards for its branding. Everyone will be free to interpret my opinion as they see fit. This opinion reflects only my thoughts and my observations. I will not allow people to not eat there.
