Fontana Bad Nieuweschans - Weg naar de Bron 3-9

Spent a very pleasant sunny Sunday here. Professional massage treatment and various themes of saunas made me want to stay as long as I could. Only could be difficult for someone who don’t speak Dutch nor German to understand some signs or menu from restaurant. Although staffs are friendly enough to explain it to you. Absolutely want to come back!

Saunas were good. It was clean. Quite strange to have a swimsuit section next to the naked section. The 3-course diner in the restaurant wasn't that great.

Lovely. Especially love the silent room with the hanging lounge chairs. Would be nice if people were actually quiet in the spaces that are designated as quiet, so maybe some clearer signage would be useful.

A nice sauna areal with all individual designed saunas. When we were there, they were still renovating some areas which could not be used by then. The saunas were great and the sauna staff was very friendly and professional. The warm pools outside are a great feature. One of the café staff women was very unfriendly and when we asked for vegan options she couldn't offer anything. Neither in the café nor the restaurant was any vegan food available. For such a big place that's quite a shortcoming. Also as it was raining and the chairs outside were not an option to relax, the cool down places were very scarce. Once we didn't find any free chair to sit in a warm place and then decided to get into the pool. Finally there were signs all over warning to not get into physical contact. That was pretty harsh and annoying as you felt bad as a couple just walking hand in hand or hugging.

This is a wonderful resort that covers all your relaxing needs. Spend some time in the sauna, soak in the thermal bath, have a massage, take a leisurely stroll through the gardens, enjoy the Turkish bathhouse and end your day with a nice meal in the restaurant.?

The facilities are nice and the lunch buffet was good. However, the service was utterly terrible. None of the receptionists (we were served by 3 during our stay) spoke English and acted like our presence there as non-dutch and non-german speaking people was an offence to them. This is completely amateuristic in a hotel resort this size. I cannot recommend this place to people who do not speak dutch or german… Even though we speak a little dutch, by that point the attitude of the receptionists had already made it clear to us that our foreign butts shouldn’t even be there. A waitress in the hotel restaurant where we ate lunch refused to serve us or even tell us where the toilet was when asked. Even though the lunch restaurant was almost empty I had to walk to the one waitresses and ask him to help us because the one who saw us waiting at our table and trying to catch her attention decided to ignore our presence… The lockers at the spa did not work. We had to go to the reception to change our wristbands TWICE because the lockers would not open. This was unpleasant because it meant that we had to deal with the receptionists who had made it clear that our presence as non-dutch/german speakers is unwanted. It is not mentioned anywhere that the drinks at the lunch buffet cost extra. Be prepared for this if you decide to go for the lunch. They’re not too badly priced though, but the extra cost might come as a surprise. Our experience was made better by 2 young men who worked in the reataurants (one by the sauna plein and one by the hotel restaurant) and one young female waitress at the lunch buffet, as well as by a woman who worked in the spa facilities and helped us with our locker problem. They were the only staff members who were nice to us, as everyone else acted like we were not welcome due to the language we spoke. Warm thanks to these individuals!

We had a wonderful experience for our first wedding anniversary. For our evening dinner,We had a lovely waitress named Iris that served us a 5star dinner in our room (for Covid measures). I have never experienced a naked sauna before but it was an amazing experience and everyone was so friendly and non-judgemental. 10/10 would recommend. Take some time to walk through the lovely little town as well

We have been going to this wellness once a month since 2021, This is the best wellness we have been to. Starting from the service, delicious food and amazing experience with the sauna and their own salt water pool! We will be continue to come here every month!
