β β β β β Echt lekker gegeten. Originele gerechten die smaakvol zijn bereid. Nette prijzen en een super vriendelijke bediening. Gewoon een geweldige prijs kwaliteit verhouding en echt de moeite waard om te proberen.
 Really nice meal. Original dishes that are tastefully prepared. Fair prices and super friendly service. Just great value for money and really worth a try.

β β β β β Met een wat groter gezelschap heerlijk gegeten, uitstekend geholpen door gezellig personeel. Gevarieerde en unieke kaart en Γ©rg lekker. Prijzen zijn erg netjes, prijs-kwaliteitverhouding ook top. Ook leuk en modern ingericht, fijn dat er genoeg ruimte is en alles niet is volgebouwd.
Kortom een hele goede ervaring en een aanrader!
With a larger group we had a delicious meal, excellently served by pleasant staff. Varied and unique menu and very tasty. Prices are very decent, value for money also top. Also nice and modern furnished, nice that there is enough space and everything is not fully built.
Overall a very good experience and highly recommended!

β β β β β It was bold of these folks to open a restaurant during lockdown times. As such, we had only experienced their food via Thuisbezorgd. Well, we finally experienced the place "in person" and the staff, service and atmosphere were all excellent!

β β β β β Good beers on tap, and some good wines, it turned out today. The food is nice enough, well above pub grub and at very reasonable prices (I think they should want to charge more for dishes and up their game), and as they are near the railway station you can eat there and never miss your connection.
The real story however is about the current proprietor. He used to be a student at the Leeuwarden hospitality management school. He was supposed to do an internship, but as everything was locked down due to the pandemic there was no internship to be had. Instead he decided to open up his own pub and restaurant, and with the help of his parents chose Foodies. His mom served me my drinks, temporarily she hoped/thought, and he ran the place, chatted with customers while serving. Becoming a restaurant owner is his internship.
I admire his entrepreneurial guts, and wish him well, a lot. He definitely succeeded in making the large venue look and feel cosy, something our fav restaurateurs of old never succeeded in in the same spot. I will return to Foodies on my next Enschede visit.
