★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aan Marcel heb ik gevraagd of hij mijn favoriete plek in mijn geboortedorp kon fotograferen. Ik had iedereen kunnen vragen, maar wilde persé dat Marcel deze foto zou maken. Ik ken het werk van Marcel, altijd echt schitterend, verbluffend en inspirerend.
Marcel is deze uitdaging aangegaan en heeft al mijn verwachtingen overtroffen! Geweldig! Elke dag als ik naar deze foto kijk word ik blij en het roept mooie herinneringen op. Marcel heeft het echt super vastgelegd. Hij heeft onderzoek gedaan naar de beste hoek en het beste moment om het te fotograferen. Hij heeft op een zondagochtend vroeg - toen er nog Sahara zand in de lucht zat - mijn perfecte plaatje gemaakt.

 I asked Marcel if he could photograph my favorite place in my hometown. I could have asked anyone, but I really wanted Marcel to take this picture. I know Marcel's work, always really beautiful, astonishing and inspiring.
Marcel has taken on this challenge and has exceeded all my expectations! Awesome! Every day when I look at this photo I get happy and it brings back beautiful memories. Marcel really recorded it super. He has researched the best angle and the best time to photograph it. He took my perfect picture early one Sunday morning when there was still Sahara sand in the air.
