Fragilestone Ceramics is a women-led ceramics studio in Kleve, Germany. It offers a range of pottery classes and workshops, including wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques from beginner to advanced level. Fragilestone Ceramics also produces functional and decorative ceramic items, as well as a curated number of jewellery pieces.
About Fragilestone Ceramics
Paula grew up with a fondness for all kinds of art. Whether is was aquarelle painting, sewing or photography. Driven by the love of crafts(wo)menship, quality and aesthetics, she founded Fragilestone Ceramics in Summer 2021. Her ceramics embrace simplicity and functionality. A limited colour palette of glazes brings stillness to her work. The interplay between the texture of raw and glazed clay, that show through the playful patterns on her ceramics, enhance the material’s purity and fragility.
During the ongoing renovation works in her community studio (begin 2022), she was not able to produce much ceramics. Following her drive to create, she started making hand-beaded jewellery. That’s when Fragilestone Jewellery was born. Her designs are playful, almost childlike, yet embrace femininity and effortless elegance.
