Fred Rompelberg Bicycle Holidays - Volksbondweg 9

Dag Fred en Tiny, Laetitia en Jetse ...en het volledige Mallorca-team! Bedankt voor de super-georganiseerde fietsvakantie die ons fietsgroepjeje Adiassers afgelopen week hebben gekregen dank zij jullie allen. Jullie enthousiasme en even enthousiast team heeft ons Mallorca op een bijzonder aangename wijze laten ontdekken. Vanaf onze eerste meters op dit prachtig fietseiland was het in de puntjes verzorgd - jullie gaven ons warempel een thuis-gevoel. We toerden op uitstekend onderhouden en afgemonteerde fietsen. Ophalen en stallen van de fiets is zo superhandig geregeld. Voor de mechaniekers was geen enkele vraag te veel. De toer-begeleiders hielden terdege rekening met ieders niveau. Prachtige uitgestippelde ritten - zo zal die langs de kust naar Andratx me voor altijd bijblijven. Voldoende drank en voeding bij begin van elke trip. En bovendien kregen we er bovenop een welkomstpakket met blijvende herinneringen. Jullie enthousiasme is een 5-sterren uitnodiging om opnieuw "bij" jullie op bezoek te komen. Een uitnodiging die we zeker niet links zullen laten liggen. A la proximá vez! Bert

Ich war für 11 Tage über Weihnachten und Silvester auf Mallorca und habe mir zum ersten mal bei Fred Rompelberg ein Rad gemietet. Ich bin sehr zufrieden, das Rad war super für mich eingestellt und man kam auch meinem Wunsch des Liefer-und Abholservice nach. Die Kommunikation war ebenfalls super, es wurde immer schnell geantwortet! Sehr nettes Team. Ich werde das nächste mal wieder bei Fred Rompelberg ein Rad mieten. Top! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Fietsvakantie Mallorca van 3 tot 10 juni 2021. Wat een geweldige fietservaring is dit weer geweest. Na een jaar afwezigheid op dit mooie eiland was ik nu samen met mijn zoon Pieter te gast in hotel Oriënt. Zoals ook bij een vorig bezoek in dit hotel waren de vier sterren een terechte waardering. Onthaal en begeleiding door het Rompelbergteam was uitstekend. Klaar voor een zorgeloze fietsvakantie. Voor mijn zoon Pieter was dit een hele uitdaging. Met slechts een 200 km op de teller dit jaar begon hij in de plausgroep, maar reed hij zijn laatste rit vlot mee met onze hobby’s. Zelf kies ik altijd voor de hobby’s omdat het vlot fietsen is, waarbij je nog volop kan genieten van de omgeving. Op mijn 65ste hoeft het ook niet meer zo snel. Onze begeleiders waren ook weer top! Proficiat jongens voor de professionele begeleiding. Leuk ook om nieuwe mensen te leren kennen, uiteindelijk is contact maken helemaal niet moeilijk tussen deze wielerhelden. In 6 dagen 600 km mogen fietsen met 4400 hoogtemeters in deze prachtige omgeving… een droom voor een wielertoerist. Als corona weer geen roet in het eten gooit kom ik in het najaar zeker terug. Very disappointed with the service provided. Rompelberg seems to be a vicious individual very hard to reach and condescending towards women in general. He doesn’t want to deal with women and only wanted to discuss rates with my husband. This is the 21th century Mr. Rompelberg, get with the times!

Dealing with Fred Rompelberg has left me feeling disappointed, angry and just plain exasperated. The man seems entirely untrustworthy, and turns out to a bit of a frustrated individual altogether. He keeps pretending he is the fastest man on a bike or something (I think he was probably just on some weird drug, as the whole story seems very implausible). Rompelberg also appears to be on some personal vendetta against anyone who displeases him in the slightest. Moreover, he has a weird habit of sharing his displeasure with anyone in his immediate vicinity. I remember how he has woken me up repeatedly by yelling about his inability to get a proper night's sleep. We get it Fred, you're in need of attention, just please stop harassing your potential customers!

Fantastic, unforgettable experience!This was my best holiday EVER. Fred Rompelberg team are a bunch of very friendly, lovely people who will look after you with utmost care. From the moment I booked my holiday online I was sure it will be well organised, well structured and well executed. The airport pick-up/drop off service is great, meaning I didn't have to worry about getting a bus or a taxi. The hotel (Playa Golf) is absolutely wonderful, and the food there to die for (if not all the cycling I'd go home much heavier!). The cycling trips are very well organised and the guides always ensure the safety of the fellow cyclists, as well as their well-being. What was really great was the possibility to swap and switch the groups based on your ability - having done a long ride one day I could do a shorter, slower one the other day. I enjoyed all of my trips and wish I could have stayed longer to explore the island more! I highly recommend the Sa Calobra trip with boat transfer - it truly was an unforgettable experience. Huge thanks to Lode, Robbrecht, Ricky and Ines, with whom I had the pleasure to ride with during the week - you guys rock! :) Many thanks to the mechanics team, especially Bernt, who helped out with my own bike and gave me professional advice on it - I appreciate your help! Last (but not least), a big thank you to Digna and Kelly who were in the Jade shop and made sure I always had plenty of cake and bananas for my mad rides. All of you people made me feel so very welcome that I am seriously considering coming back as a guide next year - if you guys would have me :) Once again, I had a fantastic holiday and by the looks of it, so did the other guests. Fred Rompelberg team of Summer 2019 rocks! I could not have ridden 524 km in a week if not for these guys - big round of applause to all of you :) Kasha Gniado
