Ein sehr gepflegter Friedhof mit vielen alten prächtigen Grabaanlagen in mitten von Aleen und Bäumen. Ein Besuch ist interessant. The Krefeld municipal cemetery is a place of peace and quiet, away from the stress and hectic of the city. A very well-kept cemetery with many old, magnificent burial grounds in the middle of ale and trees. A visit is interesting.

Auf manchen der einheitlichen Grabsteine lassen sich Name und Alter noch gut ablesen. Alle sind zu jung gestorben, die meisten viel zu jung. Ich besuche ihn vor allem im Herbst und erfreute mich an den vielen prächtigen historischen Grabstätten. Besonders eindrucksvoll sind die Kastanienallee und die Allee zwischen Krematorium und dem großen Friedhofsgebäude. One of the few places in Krefeld city where you can find a little peace and quiet. I visit him especially in autumn and enjoy the many magnificent historical tombs. The Kastanienallee and the avenue between the crematorium and the large cemetery building are particularly impressive.

Parkplatz ausreichend groß für mindestens 50 Fahrzeuge, wenn es nicht gerade Herbst ist und die Friedhofsverwaltung ihr abgesammeltes Laub hier einlagert. Gräber sind schwer zu finden, selbst wenn man weiß, in welchem Gräberfeld man suchen muss. Die Felder sind nur spärlich ausgeschildert, wenig systematisch nummeriert und nur am Haupteingang gibt es einen Plan. Large, spacious green area with old trees and wide paths. Nice for a walk. Parking space is big enough for at least 50 vehicles, if it's not autumn and the cemetery administration stores their collected leaves here. Graves are hard to find even if you know which burial ground to look in. The fields are only sparsely signposted, not numbered systematically and only at the main entrance is there a map.
