Friesland Boating - De Tille 5

Wij hebben met de familie dit weekend de Elise gehuurd die geschikt is voor 12pers. Het was een geweldig weekend op een goede boot. De boot is van binnen goed schoon, ruim opgezet met een aparte keuken, meerdere slaapkamers, twee douches en twee toiletten. Met de beperkte hoogte van het schip kun je gewoon door veel lage bruggen in Friesland. Van de verhuurder begrepen wij dat Friesland Boating ook elektrische boten verhuurt, pluspunt lijkt me! Zeker aan te raden voor vakantie in eigen land.

Dit jaar in plaat van de Drait Yachts voor Friesland boating gekozen. Leuke week gevaren over de Friese meren met een prima boot. Wij hebben gevaren met The Bee, comfortable boot maar slechte douche en vooral WC. Personeel bij aankomst vriendelijk maar bij inlevering van de boot ging het mis. onze WC was op donderdag avond verstopt geraakt(dit gebeurd vaker bij een boot en was zeker niet de eerste keer voor ze). Trap er niet in wanneer ze nu je borg niet willen terug betalen. Er word gemeld dat de halve boot uit elkaar moet maar ik ben blijven wachten en met 20 min was de wc uitgezogen met een waterzuiger. snel €300 verdient voor deze schoonmaak. plus het feit dat er al €150 betaald moest worden voor service/schoonmaak kosten bij de huur. slechte communicatie na afloop en een zeer onprettig gevoel en een gevoel van oplichting mee naar huis genomen terwijl dit niet had gehoeven.

Wij hebben onlangs de boot Ilona gehuurd. Mooie, ruime boot en van alle gemakken voorzien. Vriendelijke mensen en alles goed geregeld. Kortom, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

In 1 woord fantastisch! Wij hadden vrijwel geen ervaring qua varen en hadden de Kempala-Lelie gehuurd. Heldere instructie, mede door de goede tips bij aankomst hebben wij ons goed gered. Zeer vriendelijke en gastvrije medewerkers. Maar als je echt nog nooit gevaren hebt is een praktijk-uurtje wel aan te raden! Heerlijke boot, lekker stil.

I had a very good experience with Friesland Boating. Staff was very nice and the boat met our needs.

We hired a boat from Friesland Boating in September 2018, and we ended up being extremely disappointed. Summarizing the massive problems we had on our holiday, it looks like this: We took off Saturday and everything was fine, except that we were told that the outside gearlever was defective and needed som tangeling to release the gears. Monday morning the engine wouldn’t start due to loss of battery power. Friesland Boating sent a mechanic who installed a new battery and told us that the problem wouldn’t appear again. Wednesday morning the engine wouldn’t start, same problem, no power on the battery. Trying to add power from the service battery didn’t help at all. A new mechanic arrived, started the engine and told us that the electrical system was very poor and ought to be rewired. Later the same day we were offered a third mechanic Thursday morning to ensure that the problems were solved. This didn’t happen, instead Friesland Boating brought us a third battery and some jumper cables, and furthermore asked us to connect/disconnect a wire in the engine room to make the electrical system work. Later Thursday we lost power on the bow thruster battery, which made us send Friesland Boating a text massage and an email, where we clearly expressed our huge disappointment with the standard of Friesland Boating´s boats and service, - messages Friesland Boating never replied to. Connecting the boat to shore power for the next 16 hours didn’t charge the bow thruster battery, so it was permanently out of order for the rest of our holiday. What disappointed us even more was that Mark from Friesland Boating categorically refused to even discuss a refund, in spite of the massive and endless problem with the boat. We would have thought that showing some respect for their customer´s expectations and giving us the product we paid for, would be the main interest of any serious company, but that is obviously not the way the owners of Friesland Boating are running their business. We will leave it up to you readers to judge if you will take the risk with Friesland Boating, luckily there are many other companys you can hire your holiday boat from. We rented the Pedro boat "The Bee" in July and from moment of inquiry till handing back the boat, services were absolutely amazing. The boat was extremely clean and in good condition. The staff of Friesland boating was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely book again next year.
