★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My boss came to me and told me I had to get an assay for Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) on our platform as soon as possible. I could not hire new scientists to do this and could not take existing staff off their current projects. Internal efforts to migrate an existing manual over several years had been unsuccessful. I asked Future Diagnostics for their help. Within a few months they had a prototype assay working that met all the performance criteria marketing had set. Our PTH assay was in the market in about 18 months. In addition, Future introduced us to a new magnetic particle that was superior to the one we had been using. Based on this experience, we hired Future to develop additional assays for our platform.
