★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Goed om nooit te vergeten wat de impact van de tweede wereldoorlog ook op Oene heeft gehad en zelfs nu nog heeft. Tijdens elke dodenherdenking is hier ook aandacht voor. Een belangrijke plaats in het dorp om stil te staan dat wij nu in vrijheid mogen leven!
Maar ook zeker voor alle andere oorlogen die er nu nog zijn en gevoerd worden over de wereld met in feite alleen maar verliezers.
 Good to never forget what impact the Second World War also had on Oene and even now. Attention is also paid to this during every Remembrance Day. An important place in the village to reflect that we can now live in freedom!
But certainly also for all other wars that are still going on and waged around the world with in fact only losers.
