Our favourite ice cream hangout of the several hundred in Maastricht. Very large range of flavours, including many on the extreme side of chocolatey gooiness - which is a good thing. Staff are extremely cheerful and efficient, even by the high standards of the Dutch.

Writing this in English, so that tourists can also read it. The service is good, so thats what the one star is for. Avoid the dark chocolate ice cream tho, it has frozen fat clumps in it. Also the scoop servings are way too small and I have once witnessed how the boss (or an employee I don't know, he is old and bald) screamed at the employees that they are still scooping too big. what the heck - the ice cream costs 2 euro per scoop!! he is very unfriendly and treats customers like money machines. Also the air-conditioning is missing, the shop is way too hot to stand in and wait for ones ice cream! I get my ice cream somewhere else now!

It's a good stop for a quick treat. Not sure what the neg reviews are about; as a man with a decent appetite and a love of ice cream, I found the gelato – and the service – to be excellent. Now, I would say I have a distinctly mainstream American palette when it comes to frozen treats. Being from a region of the USA known for consuming more ice-cream per capita than anywhere else in North America (Massachusetts), judging ice creams and gelatos is kind of in my heritage, haha. So my thumbs up do not come easily or generously. That said Luna Rossa gets a solid grade from me. The flavors are excellent. Not as syrupy sweet as American gelatos and ice creams, but that is not a bad thing. They are quite delicious. The apple was susprisingly tasty! I thought portion sizes were fair, but not impressive. This is the only thing that held it back from 5 stars. However, the service was always pleasant and even fun. The staff is friendly and chatty, but not overbearing. They were accommodating and easy going, yet upbeat. If I don't get a massive amount of ice cream but still feel well then care of, well that says something to me. Truth be told, my portion was larger than I think they typically scooped, and I think it might have been because my nephew and I were chatting up the servers and having a good time. A couple nights later a similar experience occurred. Keep in mind that the portions are not like the USA's massive sizes no matter what, but I would not call them stingy or unfair. My sister-in-law and I have made this our destination post-dinner treat on nights when we cross the bridge into the old district. I recommend anyone else do the sam, and swing through for a dessert after dinner.

Famous for selling unauthentic ice cream for tourists. The ice cream is on display in a manner that makes the already water thick consistence worse. There are many horrible dutch places to eat ice cream in Netherlands and this is one of them. The prices are unreasonable compared to quality. If you are tourist, there are places with good ice cream in the city center, you son't need to settle.

Delicious gelato with distinctive taste, too bad it's a bit expensive (around €2.55 per scoop)

Best ice cream in Maastricht. Artistically presented. Excellent cappuccino and also the best in Maastricht. Love the place and the servers are friendly and kind.

Horrible ice cream. The chocolate sorbet was disgusting, inedible! I had to throw it away. The passion fruit ice cream was a bit better but still below average. Go to Visser chocolade & ijs, that's good ice cream!

It's closer to italian gelato compared to other places i tried "traditional Italian ice-cream" in the west Europe before. The yogurt flavor was pretty close to a good Italian yogurt flavored gelato. They have some interesting flavors, not just the usuals. Tastes good, recommended.
