Sinds juli 2017 hebben wij onze deuren geopend in Eindhoven. Gezana betekent 'thuis' in het Tigrinya (Eritrees). Dat zult u merken aan de huiselijke sfeer bij Gezana Eritrean Restaurant. De geur van de net vers gebrande koffiebonen, de wasbakjes om de handen van de gasten te wassen, de geur van onze kruiden. Ook de muziek en de inrichting is net of je thuis bij een Eritrese familie op bezoek bent. Voel je thuis, voel je welkom.
Onze gerechten houden we authentiek gekruid zoals in Eritrea en Ethiopië. De basis is injera, een luchtig pannenkoek op zuurdesem basis. Onze injera is gemaakt van Teff, Sorghum en volkoren Tarwegraan. Glutenvrij opties zijn er ook.
Vanaf 27 Januari zijn we weer open als gewoonlijk. Welkom terug lieve gasten!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simply the best food I have had in a while. Very balanced tastes. Freshly roasted coffee and an amazingly friendly staff. The traditional kitchen includes a lot of very very tasty vegan dishes(I'm not even vegan). On top of that the staff is super friendly and genuine. Al in all a very well deserved 5 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m absolutely blown away by this place. It was really like traveling to East Africa. I’ve never had such experience here in Eindhoven. The staff goes the extra mile to provide the most authentic experience possible.
We went here with my girlfriends and we decided to order the 3-people platter with surprise choice by the chef. We were so fascinated with the flavors, the presentation, the smile by the staff and the price/quality ratio. They have a big vegetarian and vegan menu as well. The vegan food was so, soooo good. The beef was one of the best I’ve eaten in a while.
Since we ate with our hands (the traditional way), they came to wash our hands before and after eating. Little towels are provided.
The ambience is a whole 10/10. If the word gezellig could have a place, this is it. The lighting is a little too dim for my taste, but I guess that was made on purpose.
Like the detailed person I am, I noticed every single little thing they added to the restaurant and I love it.
In short: go to this place, you won’t regret it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff was very nice and presented all the details about the traditional food. We ordered the Gezana mix and the Gezana mix special, everything was very tasty. Also the drinks were traditional and very tasty, we had the Ma Suwa beer and mango juice.
We highly recommend this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great vibe, yummy food, surprising spices, creamy dishes, fluffy injira, and fantastic staff! We felt like being immersed in a great, little universe for the night. The place is decorated beautifully, and the two guys who helped us were very friendly and welcoming. I couldn't have wished for a better service. We wanted to visit this place for a long time but have barely eaten out during the past few years. Recently we had our 4-year anniversary to celebrate and this became the place to do so - the perfect choice! I can highly recommend going here for friends, couples, and small groups who are curious to try a new cuisine or who want a great Eritrean experience. Bonus: gluten-free dishes and injira are available! Thank you, Gezana!!
