★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ik kom hier zojuist om 17:32 voorbij en zie dat er nog een aantal broden in het schap liggen. Gauw nog even eentje meenemen.
Althans, dat dacht ik.
Medewerkster: “Meneer, we zijn gesloten!”
Ik: “Oh!, ik dacht nog gauw even het laatste brood kopen?”
Medewerkster: “Helaas!”
Ik: “Gooien jullie al dat brood nu weg?”
Medewerkster: “Ja!”
Als je hier koopt, koop je dus bij een bakker die het brood net zo lief weggooit en daarmee bijdraagt aan voedselverspilling. Jammer! Van een lokale bakker had ik meer verwacht.
 I just passed by here at 5:32 pm and see that there are still a few loaves of bread on the shelf. Take one more with you.
At least that's what I thought.
Employee: “Sir, we are closed!”
Me: “Oh!, I thought I'd just buy the last loaf of bread?”
Employee: “Unfortunately!”
Me: "Are you throwing away all that bread now?"
Employee: “Yes!”
If you buy here, you are buying from a baker who is just as happy to throw away the bread and thus contribute to food waste. Too bad! I expected more from a local bakery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They just told me that they don't have bread anymore for sandwiches..... In a bread store..... At 4pm on a Thursday (2 hours before closing)....
The croissants and French bread are worth the more than double price of other places if you are in the Tongelre area and want to "feel" like you are treating yourself to something more special than AH bread.
