I first contacted these guys via email, and after no reply, then again by telephone, I finally got through after several attempts.
Having explained that we are interior designers working on a project, & would appreciate their expertise on sourcing specific materials for a shop facade, the lady asked me "So you want a kitchen".
I replied "no" (and acknowledged that they list themselves as a kitchen company) and asked if they worked with architects & interior designers on commercial projects B2B, or only supplied residential, to which she replied "yes", we can supply trade professionals", "great" I said, "I'll swing by your showroom, or would you prefer I made an appointment'"?
The lady then said rather abruptly "I'm not interested" (as if i was trying to sell her something). The conversation was very clear, but evidently this lady didn't like the sound of my voice! All rather strange, we'll take our business elsewhere.
* * Having just read GP Interieur's reply, whilst I can empathise (frustrating sales calls can be tiresome) , this was clearly NOT a sales call. The conversation was clear, and i am Amsterdam-based, not calling from abroad. No problem if you can't help, but there is a way to communicate that isn't rude and dismissive. We found a great supplier btw.
