★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bijzondere, 200 jaar oude grafheuvel, aangelegd in opdracht van de eerste burgemeester van Aalten, Christian Caspar Stumph. Toen hij in 1820 stierf was het zijn laatste wens om begraven te worden op zijn landgoed Het Smees. Later werden op deze plek vriend en VOC-kapitein Johan Christiaan Rost begraven, met zijn echtgenote (een dochter van Stumph), hun dochtertje en twee kleinzoons.
 Special, 200-year-old burial mound, commissioned by the first mayor of Aalten, Christian Caspar Stumph. When he died in 1820, his last wish was to be buried on his estate, Het Smees. Later, friend and VOC captain Johan Christiaan Rost were buried here, with his wife (a daughter of Stumph), their daughter and two grandsons.
