★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het Mandergrafveld is een klein heidegebied met een zestal grafheuvels uit de jonge Steentijd en een urnenveld uit de IJzertijd. Het gebied maakt deel uit van het grote heidegebied Manderheide dat grenst aan Duitsland. Het grafveld is beschermd en maakt deel uit van een aantal archeologische vindplaatsen rond Mander. Zo werd in deze omgeving als bodemsilhouet het graf van de ‘Man van Mander’ gevonden gedateerd in de overgang van Steentijd naar Bronstijd en recenter vondsten (onder meer vuistbijlen) van Neanderthalers van zo’n 80.000 jaar oud.
The Mandergrafveld is a small heathland with six burial mounds from the young Stone Age and an urn field from the Iron Age. The area is part of the large heathland area Manderheide that borders on Germany. The burial ground is protected and is part of a number of archaeological sites around Mander. In this environment, for example, the grave of the "Man of Mander" was found as a soil silhouette in the transition from Stone Age to Bronze Age and more recent discoveries (including hand axes) of Neanderthals about 80,000 years old.
