★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popeye is voor mij gewoon DÉ platenzaak van nederland.... daar is de tijd stil blijven staan terwijl het aanbod met de tijd is mee gegaan.
Gezelligheid is er altijd wel te vinden...je moet een beetje van chaos houden en vooral southern blues rock .... toevallig is dat mijn ding dus ik kom er graag.. Johan is een toffe gast met veel kennis van zaken. Zijn handmade platenbonnen zijn nog steeds zeer uniek ... Allen kunstwerken op zich...en dat al ruim 30 jaar misschien wel langer.. a must visit als je in Hengelo gaat winkelen en je houdt van muziek..!!!
 Popeye is just THE record store in the Netherlands for me.... time has stood still there while the offer has moved with the times.
There is always fun to be found ... you have to like a bit of chaos and especially southern blues rock .... coincidentally that's my thing so I like coming there.. Johan is a nice guy with a lot of knowledge. His handmade record receipts are still very unique ... All works of art in themselves ... and that for over 30 years maybe longer .. a must visit if you go shopping in Hengelo and you love music ..!!!
