M	Martijn Oosterom on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ een christelijk gereformeerde kerk, de diensten zijn op zondag om :09.30 uur en om 18.30 uur de dient duurt een uur tot anderhalf uur. er zijn bijbels en zang boeken in de kerk voor mensen die die zijn vergeten of niet hebben. van harte welkom! a christian reformed church, the services are on Sunday at: 9.30 am and at 6.30 pm the service lasts from one hour to one and a half hours. there are Bibles and hymn books in the church for people who have forgotten or have not. welcome!
B	Ben van de Ree on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een bezichtiging van deze middeleeuwse kerk is zeker de moeite waard. De kerk is uiteraard sober ingericht, zoals dat met de meeste protestantse kerken het geval is. Het is een 3-beukige hallenkerk met transept en houten tongewelven uit de 15e eeuw. Voor die tijd stond op deze plaats, is gebleken uit de nog aanwezige fundamenten, een kleinere éénbeukige Romaanse kerk sinds ongeveer 1100, die in 1250 is verbouwd tot een gotische kruiskerk. De toren is kort na 1300 gebouwd en is (zoals de meeste oude kerktorens - sinds de Franse tijd - eigendom van de burgerlijke gemeente). Bijzonder is dat de toren een zadeldak heeft (dat je eigenlijk alleen in Friesland, Overijssel en de Achterhoek aantreft). Achterin de kerk hangt aan een houten rek het oude carillon uit 1601. Het is vervangen in 1997 vanwege de onzuivere klank. Wie het leuk vindt mag/kan bij een bezoek (op zaterdag van 11 - 16 uur) proberen een melodietje met de 16 klokken ten gehore te brengen. Je wordt er hartelijk ontvangen en kunt wat documentatie krijgen om wat zinvoller te kunnen rondkijken. A visit of this medieval church is certainly worthwhile. The church is of course soberly furnished, as is the case with most Protestant churches. It is a 3-aisled hall church with transept and wooden barrel vaults from the 15th century. Before that, it is evident from the foundations still standing on this site, a smaller single-aisled Romanesque church since about 1100, which was converted into a Gothic cross church in 1250. The tower was built shortly after 1300 and is (like most old church towers - since French times - owned by the bourgeois community). What is special is that the tower has a saddleback roof (which you will actually only find in Friesland, Overijssel and the Achterhoek). At the back of the church, the old carillon from 1601 hangs on a wooden rack. It was replaced in 1997 because of the impure sound. Those who like it may / can try to play a melody with the 16 bells during a visit (on Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm). You will receive a warm welcome and can get some documentation to be able to look around more meaningfully.
