★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a visiting Canadian Hockey Team playing games in the Netherlands, Germany and Czech Republic over 2 weeks, we made a point of stopping at Groesbeek. The young men on the team were 16-18 years old, and were taken aback by the number of 19, 18, and even 17 year old Canadians they found buried in this very peaceful spot. Each player left a Canada flag with the Soldier of their choosing, and a poppy wreath was left by the team as well. Our young men learned a lot from their time in the Netherlands, and why the Dutch people love Canadians so much......

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a lasting piece of the recent history. It is well kept and on a beautiful spot on higher ground. I am born a few decades after the war. But seeing all these graves makes you remember that millions paid the ultimate price for today 's peace.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this cemetery very often together with my late husband Dennis (Ginger) Abbott , who was a Market Garden Veteran, at commemorations.
His cousin is buried here and we often went to pay our respects here.
It is a very tranquil place and well kept.
We will remember them!
