We've had all other packages over the years as well, and we have never been disappointed. The quality, price, communication and delivery are all perfect.

We've been happy with the quality of cow and chicken, though I must say that the cuts are mostly basic and too lean, meant to be cooked by unexperienced people. The sausages are not great, and I wish there was chicken liver included in the chicken packet as well (since it's bio chicken, why should the liver not be used?). The quality of the pork packet was disappointing. The pieces were cut badly, this was clearly not done by a professional butcher, each piece a different thickness and shape. Portions were small. The meat itself seemed aged for too long, the flavour was a bit heavy. The meat was packed badly, with plastic packages leaking on delivery. Big part of the pork meat (sausages, mince) were expired within 3 months, we ended up trowing a lot of it away, as we didn't manage to eat all this mince and sausages in time (and there was no option to not get it). It's a good company and the idea is great. We will be back for chicken and cow, but not the pork.

I saved it in the fridge in a container but after two days the meat didn't look good so I decided to throw it away which is such a shame.

A small disadvantage was that apparently a packing was leaking, so there was blood/juice all over the packages. After rinsing them with water they were ok.

Werkhoven on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First selection was beef and chicken, which was very good in both taste and the way the cuts were prepared. bu The second selection that I'm enjoying now is all chicken and again the preparation and taste is really good. The only thing I'm less over the moon about is that I was under the impression I was getting cuts from chickens that are more mature than the typical supermarket variety, but the fillets, legs and wings I got do not appear to be much larger than what I get from a shop.

Meat is tasty and perfectly delivered., There is one major drawback. The promotion and advertising is all about your own cow...but the minced meat is from all their cows meaning almost 50% of the meat in your box is not your cow !(ok it is from well lived cows but still). I would like to have the opportunity to choose unminced own cow meat so I can mince it myself (and yes I know a get less meat for same money)
