It's a really bad school. Bad teachers. Stupid kids. Everything about this school is tantu bad. I would also like to recommend the Haganum as an alternative to this school, because it may not have a very nice concrete block as a building, but it is a very good school. DO NOT GO TO HML

Please. No HML at Neuyhuyskade. The HML wants to house its MAVO department of four hundred students for a period of several years in the former office of the Child Care and Protection Board. The main office of the school on Nassau Bredastraat, not far from Koningskade, has become too small. An expansion plan is being prepared for the main building. The school management informed the neighborhood in January at an information evening. According to local residents (Neuhuyskade, Weissenbruchstraat, Mauvestraat), the Neuhuyskade 40 building is too small and there is not enough space around it. “The location is totally unsuitable for the realization of a school,” says Lex van Dam, resident of Mauvestraat. Together with others, he set up a petition against the HML plans, which has now been signed by residents of 108 addresses. The HML wants to transfer 400 students and thirty staff members to the Neuhuyskade. To this end, a number of interventions would have to be carried out on and around the building. Nine parking spaces have been projected on the street side, for which trees would have to give way. At the rear there will be three parking spaces and a bicycle shed with a schoolyard above it. Interests of the HML The architectural interventions and the expected busyness constitute "a serious infringement of the interests of the (immediate) neighbors," according to the text of the petition. The raised schoolyard, adjacent to gardens, has been called "an unacceptable invasion of privacy". It is also pointed out that in this part of the Benoordenhout there are already three basic schools and the Maerlant Lyceum. "The neighborhood is already suffering a lot from parking problems and a faltering traffic flow due to the blocking of primary school students in front of the school." More than 400 pupils and teachers will soon be arriving there. Of course that will never fit. In a response, HML rector Henriëtte Bouvé confirms that the school wants to start using an office building on the Neuhuyskade from September 2019. “The local residents have indeed contributed a number of storage points. The Haagsch Montessori Lyceum is a well-kept school with good teachers. The teachers all take the time to learn something to the class and help them avoid obstacles. The school itself is well cared for with students cleaning up their own mess. The building is also very beautiful. Montessori education is also very useful for training the child by learning how to be independent. I definitely recommend the HML!

Terrible school I was having lunch recently and then I suddenly saw a rat walking it was a traumatic experience. It takes half an hour to get into the school, it's just too traumatic. I am at the door and I think why should I do this is it worth it. It is super rancid and always too cold or too hot. Also the ind toilet smells good I always feel fine when I walk into the toilet but when I come out then almost vomit. D

I have been at the HML for 3 years and I think it is a really nice school. They give a lot of attention to the students who really need it, and they also give the space that you can schedule your timetable yourself. What I find less is that you have to report the next day after an absence, and you don't get another chance. I also like Peppels and I think the HML system .. and I find that less, but I like the things they organize. The toilets are not the cleanest, but I think that is the case at every school .. Conclusion: think it's a nice school :)

In itself a great school. But "choosing what to do yourself" doesn't really work for me. Teachers poorly trained or just not nice. Regret that I chose this school. Coaches are very nice !!
