Is for sick people who want to chat or look for distraction. Usually for people who have or have had cancer or know someone who has or has had this terrible disease.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vertrouwde sfeer. Veel gezelligheid maar ook ruimte om je ervaringen te delen. Belangrijk en goed dat deze plaatsen er zijn voor (ex) kankerpatienten en hun naasten. Geheel gerund door betrokken vrijwilligers. Ondersteund door professionals in de vraagbaak functie. Top! Chapeau.
Familiar atmosphere. Lots of fun but also space to share your experiences. Important and good that these places are there for (ex) cancer patients and their loved ones. Entirely run by committed volunteers. Supported by professionals in the helpdesk function. Top! cheers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die zogenaamde "directrice" oftewel Josje Hamel is een harteloze huichelaar. Personeel valt niks op aan te merken, ze doen hun best wel. Maar wat haar betreft.. Bedorven producten verkopen aan herstellende kanker patienten die geen weerstand meer hebben door de chemobehandeling kan je niet maken. Schaam je.
That so-called "director" or Josje Hamel is a heartless hypocrite. Staff cannot be faulted, they do their best. But as far as she is concerned .. You cannot make spoiled products to recovering cancer patients who no longer have any resistance due to the chemotherapy treatment. Shame on you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leuke ontmoeting centrum voor mensen met kanker en voor hun naasten. Je kunt er zo naar binnen lopen voor een kop koffie of thee. Er worden allerlei activiteiten gedaan en workshops gegeven. Waar je voor kunt aan melden. Ook is er een klein winkeltje aan wezig waar je zelf gemaakte producten van het Hamelhuys kan kopen. Helaas is Hamelhuys dicht gegaan.
Nice meeting center for people with cancer and their loved ones. You can walk right in for a cup of coffee or tea. There are all kinds of activities and workshops are given. What you can sign up for. There is also a small shop where you can buy homemade products from the Hamelhuys. Unfortunately Hamelhuys has closed.
