However, there doesn't seem to be many trashbins around, which is a shame and would contribute to extra litter.
It's a great place to be on a hot day though, as there's also plenty of shade. It's also great for kids.
Definitely recommend going here, alone, with kids, or pets, everyone would feel great here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful and educational park! Great place to take your kids to, with plenty for them to go around. Lots of birds and other interesting wildlife. Definitely recommend visiting the pancake restaurant as well!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great petting zoo, playground, gnome hunt. Miniature golf was closed unfortunately. Free parking, couple of food venues. Awesome for kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Heempark is a nice place to spend a sunny afternoon. There are different zones within the park, such as a children's wood, skating ramp, gnome wood and a playarea for dogs. There are plenty of benches to sit and rest. Also, there is a path for horses.
At the entrance of the park is a nice restaurant with minigolf and this is the perfect place to rest after playing or walking around the Zegerplas.
