★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In 1620 werd Adriaan Pauw Heer van Heemstede en bewoonde het Slot .
De brug was de toegang naar het Slot.
Pauw was ook raadspensionaris en tekende voor Nederland bij de Vrede van Münster.
Wat nu het Slot heet is oorspronkelijk het koetshuis.
Ik heb mooie herinneringen aan deze plek en dit gebouw omdat ik met mijn gezin er van 1976 t/m 2003 gewoond heb.
In die jaren waren er tentoonstellingen, voorstellingen, muziek en literaire lezingen.
Daarnaast was het mogelijk om een activiteit of een feest te geven.
Een prachtige locatie verstopt tussen een woonwijk, sportvelden en de ringvaart.
In 1620 Adriaan Pauw became Lord of Heemstede and inhabited the castle.
The bridge was the entrance to the Castle.
Pauw was also Grand Pensionary and signed the Peace of Münster for the Netherlands.
What is now called the Slot was originally the coach house.
I have beautiful memories of this place and this building because I lived there from 1976 to 2003 with my family.
In those years there were exhibitions, performances, music and literary readings.
It was also possible to organize an activity or a party.
A beautiful location hidden between a residential area, sports fields and the ring canal.
