Toen al viel op hoe artistiek en bevlogen hij was en dat action painting toen al zijn passie was. Een echte Hein aan de muur is een vette aanrader; het brengt spanning en levendigheid in een ruimte. I have known Hein since I worked with him at a trading house in the 1990s. Even then it was noticeable how artistic and passionate he was and that action painting was already his passion. A real Hein on the wall is highly recommended; it brings excitement and liveliness to a space.

We blijven er naar kijken, het blijft iedereen opvallen en ziet er goed uit! Inmiddels een tweede erbij gehangen en daarmee de collectie uitgebreid. Wat een artiest, fantastisch! Hung a Hein on the wall a few years ago and it really never got boring. We keep looking at it, it continues to catch everyone's eye and looks good! A second one has since been added and the collection has expanded with it. What an artist, fantastic!

Hij is uitgegroeid tot een hele goede kunstenaar. Actionpainten en schilderen en natuurlijk striptekenen zijn zijn specialiteit. Ik ben natuurlijk ook ontzettend trots op hem. Natuurlijk heb ik zelf ook een echte HEIN in mijn woonkamer hangen. Nou jullie nog! Hein and I have been best friends since we were thirteen. From an early age, Hein was already creative with comics, among other things. He has grown into a very good artist. Action painting and painting and of course cartoon drawing are his specialty. Of course I am also very proud of him. Of course I also have a real HEIN in my living room. Well you guys!

In de loop de jaren meerdere schilderijen aangeschaft, allen erg mooi (vinden wij). Erg leuk ook dat de kunstenaar zelf reageert op vragen. Purchased our first painting from Hein in 2004. Painting is still hanging in the living room today, it never gets boring. Purchased several paintings over the years, all very beautiful (we think). It is also very nice that the artist responds to questions himself.

De schilderijen van Hein kenmerken zich mijns inziens door een combinatie van een hoekig abstracte lijnenspel doorweekt met felle kleuren die je fantasie prikkelen om de geest van schilder in het schilderij te ontdekken en erin te zien wat je wil zien, te voelen wat je wilt voelen. The Hug die wij hebben uitgezocht is een schilderij wat alles in zich heeft: liefde, verdriet, tederheid, angst, hoop en verbondenheid enz. Geschilderd met passie en gevoel, verweven met talent en stijl. Hein bedankt voor je flexibele keuzemogelijkheden. Last year bought a painting "The Hug" by Hein van Houten. Already seen a lot of his work hanging everywhere. Now finally a painting of Hein in the house. In my opinion, Hein's paintings are characterized by a combination of angular abstract lines drenched with bright colors that stimulate your imagination to discover the spirit of the painter in the painting and to see what you want to see, to feel what you want to feel. The Hug that we have selected is a painting that has everything in it: love, sorrow, tenderness, fear, hope and connection, etc. Painted with passion and feeling, interwoven with talent and style. d	david hooley on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I first saw Hein’s paintings whist on a stop over at the Hilton in Munich where a number of his paintings were on display, I was travelling with my fiend and we really liked the vibrant colours, fun and energy of the paintings, we ended up chatting to a gent in the lounge area who asked if we liked the paintings and luckily there was no embarrassment as we did and it was Hein the artist himself, we chatted for quite while and he is a really cool guy ! Hence to say both my friend and I both have a Hein painting hanging pride of place in our homes that were painted for us, which I know we both love !
