★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oude winterdijk, of bandijk, van de Maas. De wielen, of waaien, zijn overblijfsel van dijkdoorbraken.
De oude bandijk is elders nog her en der terugvte zien in, zoals bij Bruggen in Rosmalen.
De Heinis is een stukje natuur in de grote stad van 's-Hertogenbosch. Uniek. Maar doordat bebouwing niet ver weg is, altijd zichtbaar is, niet zo aantrekkelijk, als je het mij vraagt.
Oude winterdijk, or bandijk, of the Maas. The wheels, or blows, are a remnant of dike breaches.
The old bandijk is still seen here and there elsewhere, such as at Bruggen in Rosmalen.
The Heinis is a piece of nature in the big city of 's-Hertogenbosch. Unique. But because buildings are not far away, are always visible, not so attractive, if you ask me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooi stukje natuur waar je met een beetje geluk eekhoorns kunt zien. Bij de oude boerderij heb je de meeste kans omdat daar ook voeder- en drinkbakjes staan. Ook de bonte specht en ijsvogel gezien. Je hebt verharde en onverharde paden waar wij regelmatig wandelen.
Beautiful piece of nature where you can see squirrels with a bit of luck. You have the best chance at the old farm because there are also feeding and drinking bowls. Also seen the spotted woodpecker and kingfisher. You have paved and unpaved paths where we regularly walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many small water bodies and natural tracks to walk. Can hear many birds chirping and also spot a few squirrels along the way. Good for spending some moments of calm though the motor roads are not too far away. Enjoyed the sunshine. Can also bike along the road but best enjoyed on foot.
