Beide haben mir von einer Reparatur abgeraten. Ich hatte mich schon mit einem Neuerwerb befasst. In einem Bericht der Rheinischen Post hatte ich aber von dem Zupfinstrumentenmacher Helmut Stauder gelesen. Die Kontaktaufnahme und die Begutachtung waren unkompliziert. Hier wurde meine Gitarre dann zu einem annehmbaren Preis in einer akzeptablen Zeit und zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit repariert. The top and bottom of my Martin western guitar were cracked. I tried unsuccessfully to have the damage repaired by two guitar makers. Both advised me not to have a repair done. I had already dealt with a new acquisition. In a report by the Rheinische Post I had read about the plucked instrument maker Helmut Stauder. The establishment of contact and the assessment were uncomplicated. Here my guitar was repaired at an acceptable price in an acceptable time and to my complete satisfaction.

Meine Gitarre wurde wieder instand gesetzt, so daß sie jetzt wieder spielbar ist. Der Preis zum Aufwand der Instandsetzung war in Ordnung. Allerdings liegt die Werkstatt sehr "versteckt" in Schwalmtal Ortsteil End. If you are looking for a competent guitar builder, you will be well advised to take a look there. My guitar has been repaired so that it is now playable again. The cost of the repair was reasonable. However, the workshop is very "hidden" in the Schwalmtal district of End.
