★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vreemd personeel. Mijn zoontje kwam een taartje uitzoeken omdat hij bijna mag afzwemmen. Het meisje achter de kassa zegt. Lief zijn voor je moeder anders komt ze de taart morgen weer terugbrengen... Mijn zoontje keek mij geschrokken aan... hij deed helemaal niks!!!! Wij komen hier zeker geen taart meer halen
 Strange staff. My son came to pick a cake because he can almost swim. The girl behind the counter says. Be kind to your mother otherwise she will come back to bring the cake tomorrow ... My son looked at me in shock ... he did nothing at all !!!! We will certainly not come here to buy cake

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Volgens informatie kan je met Visa betalen, aangekomen bij de kassa word de kaart geweigerd. De baas wil het niet. Ondertussen een lange rij achter mij. Heel misleidend en irritant.
According to information you can pay with Visa, when you arrive at the checkout the card will be refused. The boss doesn't want it. Meanwhile, a long line behind me. Very misleading and annoying.

Everything in a different place for the umpteenth time. And, so again, search. It's not up to the ladies, they don't care about that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De standaard dingen hebben we in hun assortiment, maar soms worden paden geblokkeerd door bakken en karretjes met artikelen die ze op dat moment aan het inruimen zijn. Ook was het tijdens corona niet helemaal duidelijk waar je nu in de rij moest staan voor de kassa. Het leek aangegeven te staan op de vloer, maar vervolgens vormde er zich aan de andere kant ook een rij. Waardoor ik ooit onterecht de opmerking kreeg dat ik zou voordringen, terwijl ik de pijlen op de vloer volgde.
We have the standard things in their range, but sometimes paths are blocked by bins and carts with articles that they are clearing at that moment. It was also not completely clear during corona where you had to stand in line for the cash register. It appeared to be marked on the floor, but then a line formed on the other side as well. As a result, I was once wrongly told that I would push ahead, while I followed the arrows on the floor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought men's undies. To my shock, when unpacking them there was only 1 instead of the "2+1" the packaging had led me to expect. I phoned them and explained how a thief must have filched the other two from the packaging. It was not a problem, "come by and we'll sort it out for you. " Armed with receipt and packaging I returned a day later.
A manager was at hand to look into the matter; returning from her office quite a while later, explaining that in fact, the pack correctly contained just the one, for it was "buy 2, get 1 free" that was meant, not: "usually there are 2 items in here but now we added yet another for the same price".
The fact it took her all this time to figure it out herself, speaks volumes about the practise of consumer-misleading information. Obviously, I was not pleased and stated this and this is where her interest in the matter ended. Since misleading consumers in this way is illegal in the Netherlands, I shall write to Hema's hq demanding they desist. Might sound like a small matter, but I hate being duped. If Hema does not stop this practise, I will take my business elsewhere. Did I mention that I hold grudges for decades when provoked?
