Note: Open from Wednesday to Sunday. Make reservations beforehand if you want to be sure you have a table - if the weather is nice, I recommend booking a table on the beautiful terrace. Wonderful atmosphere; you really feel that the owners care for this place. The restaurant uses as many local ingredients as possible. I can recommend the Fromberg wine which comes from a vineyard located less than 10 km from the restaurant. The house aperitif tastes like summer in a glass. So far we haven't found anything on the menu which isn't good. My favorite is the fish stew, which taste exactly like what I would hope to get when ordering such a dish. If I had to find something negative to say, it would be that the ice cream in my dessert was partially melted when it was served (but it was a particularly warm August evening though).

Well I wanted to introduce my friend to "Zuurvlees" on the menu but he was hesitant. Therefore I beckoned a waitress to ask if my friend was able to taste a teaspoon of this meat, but we were given an answer that they were not able to positively honor this request. Two minutes later the restaurant owner asked while writing down our choices whether we'd like some bread before our meals which we said yes to. Five minutes later two empty little plates were given to our table with two fine butter knives, but unfortunately the bread never came ?. The food tasted great, so don't get me wrong, but why all personnel had a embroidered add of a big local wholesale caterer is beyond me?. Now an idea is implanted in my head that my "Zuurvlees" option was cooked not by the cook of this restaurant, but ended up on my plate from the delivery truck. Well probably forgetting to bring food happens rarely I hope, but I regard these omissions as a lack of "doing your utmost best" and therefore a rating of tree stars is tenable

As you can read on the signs on the walls, one of the best places in the area. Ideal place for a pitstop during an active day. Dogs are allowed and will be hydrated, while you enjoy fellow cyclists charging their bikes and refilling their drinking cans. Average age is on the higher end of the spectrum. The food is very good and if possible the drinks have been turned into an adventures experience. Staff is very very friendly, even when it is (very) busy.

A welcoming place to rest after a day hiking in the area, The Herberg offers a unique combination of an idyllic village meeting point and the comforts of a metropolitan bar. The staff is kind and helpful, and the service is quick. A great place to stop when you need a rest!

Busy place. Relatively expensive lunch options (it is hard to find an option below 10 euros), but the portions are plenty and tasted good.

Best onion soup I have ever had! In the U.S, Mexico, Germany, France, Italy. Delicious, our server was friendly and spoke clear English. The local wine is fruity and smooth, if Iived near by this would be a regular spot to enjoy dinner! 100% recommend
