★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooie kerk welke als markant herkenningspunt het dorp Hoornaar laat zien in weilanden van de Alblasserwaard. Dit in de nabijheid van het riviertje de Giessen. De omgeving leent zich voor diverse mooie polderwandelingen die lang niet allemaal over geplaveide paden gaan en je zomaar over het erf van een boerderij of molen voert. In de Giessen en nagelegen sloten zijn veel verschillende watervogels te zien.
Beautiful church which shows the village Hoornaar in the Alblasserwaard pastures as a prominent landmark. This in the vicinity of the river Giessen. The area lends itself to various beautiful polder walks that do not all go over cobblestone paths and you just walk over the yard of a farm or mill. Many different water birds can be seen in the Giessen and the ditches.
