★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het is niet dat van Ome Loeks (maar van beeldhouwer Pieter d'Hondt), het staat niet op de gang (maar keurig op een bescheiden sokkel midden aan de Voorstraat) en houdt beschaafd zijn mond (want: niet gegeven). Vindt het best als je met hem op de foto wil. Tot begin oktober: dan is er hier de jaarlijkse paardenmarkt, dan is-ie even een soort van middelpunt van alle festiviteiten.
 It is not that of Ome Loeks (but of sculptor Pieter d'Hondt), it is not in the hallway (but neatly on a modest pedestal in the middle of the Voorstraat) and keeps his mouth shut (because: not given). It is best if you want to take a picture with him. Until the beginning of October: then there is the annual horse market here, then it is kind of the center of all festivities.
