Het cafe kenmerkt zich door een mooie grote vierkante bar in het hart van de zaak, waar achter je een enthousiast team van energieke barmannen en knappe bardames vindt.
Het mooie zonnige terras direct aan de kruising van de beneden oostzeedijk en de voorschoterlaan is ook een heerlijke plek om onder het genot van een drankje de zon onder te zien gaan. Hoekzight ligt midden in de prachtige wijk Kralingen door de jeugd ook wel tot Kralifornia verbasterd. Iedereen is er welkom, van jong tot oud, van (internationale)student tot CEO. Elke Kralinger en eigenlijk iedere Rotterdammer zou een bezoek moeten brengen aan dit gezellige café, dat niet voor niets 'Best bar of Kralifornia' genoemd wordt!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible experience as a student. Bartender (older male) was rude and aggressive, raising his voice at us and being incredibly disrespectful. The payment was a complete mess and the barman attempted to scam us with more drinks than we had actually consumed. When we complained, he shouted angrily "You pay now", pushing the card machine in our face several times. This is not the way a legitimate customer friendly business should operate. Incredibly disappointed and clearly indicates the place is far away from being the "best bar" as they claim and showing the nature of the bar as revolving around money as opposed to customer care. Highly discourage anyone from visiting.
