Nice place that you just pass by if you don't know it is there.

As an almshouse founded in 1646 by Margeretha Splinter. A courtyard that you do not expect on the Ritsevoort. It is still inhabited as ever intended by eight unmarried ladies. In the courtyard is a beautiful West Frisian statue made by Siem Wardenaar. Usually accessible to the public during the day? Or join a city walk for more historical information. Open: 01 April to 01 October Monday to Saturday 11.00-20.15 Sun- and holidays 14.00-17.00 01 October to 01 April Monday to Saturday 11.00-17.00 Sun- and holidays 14.00-17.00 Als Provenhuis opgericht in 1646 door Margeretha Splinter.
