Wie herinnert zich hem niet: de strip- en tekenfilmheld Popeye, die na het eten van een blik spinazie plotseling ijzersterk werd. De grote hoeveelheid ijzer in spinazie zou hier de oorzaak van zijn. Er is zeker iets van waar, want we hebben ijzer nodig om hemoglobine, een bloedeiwit dat helpt bij het vervoeren van zuurstof door het lichaam, aan te maken. Door ijzertekort kan bloedarmoede ontstaan, waardoor je je zwak, vermoeid en kortademig voelt. Maar wat zijn de symptomen en waardoor wordt dit lage ijzergehalte veroorzaakt?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Turkse dame is altijd heel aardig en behulpzaam. Ze legt uit wat ze doet. En ze negeert niemand. De rest vind ik ook altijd vriendelijk. Maar die Turkse is wel een schoolvoorbeeld. Ze heeft volgens mij ook verstand van de producten. Leuke winkel met genoeg keuze. Soms zijn dingen wel ineens op.
That Turkish lady is always very nice and helpful. She explains what she is doing. And she doesn't ignore anyone. I always find the rest friendly too. But the Turkish one is a textbook example. I think she also understands the products. Nice shop with plenty of choice. Sometimes things suddenly run out.
