About Holland Methodist Church (L.I.D), Amsterdam
Amsterdam Congregation
If you are new to Amsterdam or its environs, and looking for a home church, or simply looking for a church to visit while you’re on vacation, be assured that a welcome awaits you in the Congregation Methodist there.
We are a small fellowship of Christians who meet at the Baptist Church in Amsterdam Noord. Members of the same communion as the Rotterdam Methodist Church, the Amsterdam Methodist Church have been engaged in ministry in The Netherlands over the last thirty years.
On Sundays, our Lord’s Day meeting is Word-centred worship of God which includes the proclamation of the gospel; but we also share in rich fellowship as we embrace persons as co-equal children of God. We celebrate New Life in Jesus Christ and emphasise our role in home, church and community as stewards of God’s grace.
Our Sunday meetings start at 1:30 p.m. On the first Sunday of each month the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) is administered. On fifth Sunday, worship is strictly in Dutch but in English on other Sundays.
Discipleship Meetings are held on second and fourth Sundays at Buurt Centrum Spinnewiel, Dickenslaan 173, 1102 XS Amsterdam
If you wish to share spiritual concerns or seek guidance, our pastoral team headed by Rev’d Dr. Joan Delsol Meade, will gladly receive you.
