★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place to visit if you're interested in LGBTQ+ rights/history.
There isn't a lot to see or discuss but worth a look if you're in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The idea behind it is very nice but monument itself is not very impressive. It is kept simple

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like the history it commemorates, this quietly elegant and understated monument is easy to overlook. That would be a mistake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just nearby Westerkerk, like few-step stairs made by few triangles, maybe it’s not too special but you can easily pass by and take a quick look. The scenery around is pretty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is not only a beautiful, also really important memorial point. See what I did there..?
The Homomonument starts at the front side of the Westerkerk, and ends in the canal.
It has the shape of een triangel and is made of pink stone.
The tip of the monument that lays in the canal, is often used as an memorial side for people that recently died within the community.
That is why it is often filled with flowers and burning candels. This plateau is a few steps down from the street level to give it more peace and quite.
It is a wonderful place to visit, but please be respectful. Throw away your trash, there is a trashbin a few meters away. Thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ -Triangle on the water - indicates the National Monument dedicated to the events of the Second World War
-A triangle at the level of 60 centimeters above the ground - indicates the office of the world's oldest LGBT organization, founded in 1946
-The third triangle at ground level indicates the house where Anna Frank was hiding. It has an inscription - "Naar Vriendschap Zulk een Mateloos Verlangen" ("Such an endless desire for friendship") ??
