Perfect place for humans and dogs. Until May 1, dogs are allowed loose on the beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ik zie regelmatig hondeneigenaren op dit strand die er plezier aan beleven dat hun hond foeragerende vogels het leven zuur maakt. Ach Velsen wijst een plekje aan waar je alleen via Wijk aan Zee kunt komen en denkt dat het verder wel losloopt.
I regularly see dog owners on this beach having fun with their dog making life miserable for foraging birds. Ach Velsen points out a spot where you can only get to Wijk aan Zee and thinks it will be fine otherwise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooi gebied, genoeg ruimte en schoon. Enige nadeel is de toegang tot het strand. Vanuit wijk aan zee zelf is het een half uurtje lopen. Maar als je buiten het dorp (gratis) parkeerd en door de duinen loopt is het goed te doen.
Nice area, enough space and clean. Only downside is access to the beach. From Wijk aan Zee itself it is a half hour walk. But if you park (for free) outside the village and walk through the dunes, it is doable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heerlijke plek om de hond uit te laten. Door de vele kitesurfers en andere watersport liefhebbers is er altijd ook wat te zien op en in het water
Wonderful place to walk the dog. Because of the many kite surfers and other water sports enthusiasts, there is always something to see on and in the water
