Via de hoofdweg in het vriendelijke dorpje Scheemda rijd je naar het historische hostel. Deze 18e-eeuws Groningse borg was ooit het woonhuis van een rijke familie. Op het bordes voel je direct de eeuwenoude sfeer en in de stijlkamer lijkt het alsof de tijd heeft stilgestaan. De Herberg beschikt over 80 bedden, tevens is het huis rolstoel vriendelijk en zijn er faciliteiten als aangepaste douche en toilet voor mindervaliden.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Volgens mij niet blij dat de horeca / hotels weer open mochten ,ongezellige kamer bedden meters uit elkaar, niet vragen of men wat te drinken wil ,niet kunnen eten hotel maar doorverwezen worden naar het dorp om te gaan eten en ook nog verbaasd zijn dat men de kamer annuleerd en naar de concurent gaan in zuidbroek
 I don't think it's happy that the catering industry / hotels were allowed to open again, uninviting room beds meters apart, not asking if people want something to drink, can't eat hotel but are referred to the village to eat and are also surprised that people cancel the room and go to the competitor in Zuidbroek
