★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a budget hostel. At the time ( summer 2020) when I was looking for the place to stay, it was the cheapest hostel in The Hage ( 20€ per day during weekdays and 25€ during weekends).
As for the rooms they are very small, and the beds are bunk-beds (double) so apart of sleeping in the room there is now way you can actually do anything in the room. There are lockers in the rooms so if you have your padlock you can securely store you belongings, if you do not have yours, for refundable 10€ you can get a padlock from the personel. Rooms are clean and nothing realy to complain about.
Bathrooms are clean with separate toilets and again the only thing they could be bigger.
The reception is combined with the rest area where you can sit and relax with some board games and books which you can get free of charge. They serve tasty coffee reasonably priced. You can order some other beverages as well and some basic meals. Once there is good weather they have coffee tables just outside the front entrance, next to the canal where you can enjoy your freshly made coffee.
They have as well back (side) entrance so you do not have go through the hostel to get to your room.
The location is just perfect to explore the city center. Everywhere is close to, shops, pubs, coffeeshops and every other tourists attractions, just perfect.
As this is a hostel it is rather for the younger travelers then mature tourists.
The personel is friendly and helpful no problems towards english speakers :)
So I guess this is it, can recommend it without any hesitation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Golden Stork is an amazing hostel with wonderful staff and a super cozy environment! The only thing is is it's a bit compact in the rooms but for the location, price and atmosphere...not another place like it! Highly recommend staying here, the canal is beautiful in the morning with a cup of coffee/tea!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hostel is full of labor immigrants. Even if they leave a mess, wake everybody up in the middle of the night, staff is not really interested in order and regulations. If you want to go to a safe and clean hostel dont go here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The second hostel I stayed at in Den Haag. When I came here, I only planned to stay one night and then leave... but the quality of the hostel, and character of the people, inspired me to stay in the city another night. Come and enjoy for yourself!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hostel without kitchen, rooms full of guest and without any windows, no ventilation, no common areas, humidity in the walls, lots of long term living there. I really don't recommend this hostel at all an less you don't find anything else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn’t expect Thais hostel gonna be bad very much. People shouting in 5 am in morning. A group of African women they shouted from whole night loud music until 3 am and 5 early morning, after that they went to ousted and brought a man inside the hostel. In this hostel staffs are nice friendly but they don’t tell the gusts that after 12 am you are not allowed to listening to the music or talk because of people sleeping. The hostel doesn’t have any specific rules against this. In all other hostels are ruled and it will work very good. But in this hostel there’s no rule.
Even one star is to much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed at the “Golden Stork” for one and a half month while studying in The Hague. Like many other guests pointed out, the hostel has both positive and negative aspects: its position is good (5 minutes away from the city center; 10 minutes from The Hague central station; 15 minutes from The Hague university of Applied sciences. The bathrooms and toilets are very clean (they get cleaned every day at noon) and almost every member of the staff is helpful and dedicated.
Regarding the aspects that could be improved, I would definitely recommend enlarging the showers (and maybe add a small chair/stool for your clothes while showering). The rooms have no window which makes them stinky and hot; there is an air conditioner always on, but it doesn’t help much. There are always lots of people coming and going so it is the perfect place to make new friends. One last advice, it is obvious that the more bed there are, the better it is, but the space in the bunk beds is really narrow, I’d rather have only two spots (and not three) but a more comfortable environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It looked more like a refugee home than a hostel. There was a guy in my room sleeping on the floor today 02/11/2021. Probably he was a friend of a guest that didn't pay. The room was full and he ended up sleeping in the floor. There were more third world immigrants than travelers. Probably it will be fine for people who shout out "refuges welcome", but not for those who like tranquility and cleanliness. Not recommended at all
