β β β β β Very friendly personnel, clean rooms, dinner is good and most important, it's next to the Veluwe. You love nature? This is the place to be. Ebikes are for rental.

Rooms clean and comfortable but need updating. Would like to see some coffee or a fridge in all rooms (only some have even though same rate and type)
I would stay again though, great location.

β β β β β De Bosrand is a very calm and serene hotel, at the edge of the Veluwe. Staff is very friendly. Had a delicious dinner as well, a very juicy steak with a side of fries. I slept great, the room is big enough, and the beds are very comfortable. Would recommend!

β β β β β I spent a week in this hotel. I liked the surroundings and views outside but the hotel from inside is not that good and the rooms are small.
I saw a couple of rooms and I didn't like them but I had to pick one as I was having a training course there.
They have two or three meeting rooms where you can hold your workshops and trainings and they are equipped with a data show and a number of white boards.

β β β β β Very nice location right next to the woods. With a nice backyard. Very nice staff who got us bikes even though they themselves were out. Within only a couple minutes of biking you can find heathland, forests and sand dunes. The food was delicious and my steak was a perfect medium rare. All in all we have had a great time here and it's a good place to go if you're looking for some quiet and beautiful nature

β β β β β I would NOT recommend this hotel
- Good: staff was friendly
- Bad: rooms are old and to be fair, in BAD condition. We had mold on the ceiling and bugs in the bathroom (see photos). Cable management was poor at best and the open pipes in the bed -and bathroom were not a great sight. The room is in terrible need of redecoration, doors didnt close well and were chipped.
- Good: location, next to the forest.
- Bad: pay 7.50 euro per night extra for a room with a double bed instead of two separate ones. Like, really?
- Bad: privacy. Staff entered the room when my partner and myself were in it. Without knocking. Next to that walls are thin. We heard the neighbours talk.
- Bad: breakfast was very, VERY basic. I always look forward to a hotel breakfast, but this is the first hotel i have been to that doesnst serve scrambled eggs/sausages/mushrooms/various cereals, or even fresh fruit. Choice is limited, doesnt vary per day, nothing is home made or fresh, and everything can be found at the supermarket for less.
All in all it wasnt horrible, but paying around 100 euro per night was too much and even the staff agreed with this statement. Its always a bad feeling when u overpay, and this hotel stands out in that unfortunately.

β β β β β Stayed 2 nights here- the food from the restaurant was great especially the sauce of the main made me think of my grandma. The stuffs were friendly to me only the room might appeared to be a bit old fashion. Overall it was a good experiment for a solo weekend getaway.
