A	Annelien Bussink on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prachtige omgeving en ook het hotel is zeker aan te bevelen. Het eten was heel divers en goed zodat we terug kunnen kijken op een prima uitstapje. Beautiful surroundings and the hotel is definitely recommended. The food was very diverse and good so that we can look back on a great trip.

Daar kwam ik achter, omdat ik Social Deal belde. Hoe grof kun je met mensen en kinderen omgaan. We gaan er morgen gewoon heen en in ons recht staan. Iedereen die er zit mag dit horen. Zoiets nog nooit meegemaakt. Eigenlijk moet ik een programma inschakelen die hun de koude douche geeft. Follow-up! Now even worse, De Grote Zwaan canceled on our behalf yesterday, just as if we didn't want to anymore. I found out because I called Social Deal. How rude can you be with people and children. We'll just go there tomorrow and stand up for ourselves. Everyone who is there can hear this. Never experienced anything like this. Actually, I have to turn on a program that gives them the cold shower.

We hadden al eind oktober 2021 via Social Deal al een arrangement met overnachting incl. ontbijt en een -gangen (a la carte) diner geboekt bij dit hotel. Echter op de gereserveerde dag 06-01-2022 na een lange autorit van 175km in Denekamp (dichtbij De Lutte) eerst wat gewinkeld te hebben, werden we net voordat we wilden gaan inchecken gebeld dat het hotel helaas genoodzaakt was de keuken te sluiten. Het arrangement kon ons niet meer geboden worden, tevens was het hotel ook nog net in een verbouwing gegaan! Super teleurgesteld hebben we ons ongenoegen aan de hotelmedewerker via het telefoongesprek geuit en het arrangement maar noodgedwongen ter plaatse geannuleerd. Wel hebben we het hotel per mail nog verantwoordelijk gesteld voor het vergoeden van minimaal onze reiskilometers (350km) omdat we natuurlijk voor niets naar het hotel waren afgereisd. Wachten nu (20-01-2022) nog op een nette afhandeling en reactie van het hotel! :-( Unfortunately, package with dinner could not be delivered, kitchen closed! At the end of October 2021, we had already booked an overnight package including breakfast and a course (a la carte) dinner at this hotel via Social Deal. However, on the reserved day 06-01-2022, after a long car ride of 175 km in Denekamp (near De Lutte), we were called just before we wanted to check in that the hotel was unfortunately forced to close the kitchen. The package could no longer be offered to us, the hotel had also just undergone a renovation! Super disappointed, we expressed our displeasure to the hotel employee via telephone and had to cancel the package on the spot. We did however make the hotel responsible by email for reimbursing at least our travel kilometers (350 km) because of course we had traveled to the hotel for nothing. Waiting now (20-01-2022) for a proper handling and response from the hotel! :-(

So when you want to sleep with an open window (there is no airco and it gets warm even when the weather is not too hot) you badly need earplugs. Do not go there to dine, the menu is overpriced. I had a bowl of rice and mushrooms which consisted of 90% rice and not more than 5% mushrooms and 5% other vegetables for 18,50 euro.

They were supposed to have the included dinner the evening of arrival, but the hotel moved it to the second day due to it being too busy. Naturally, my parents cancelled their stay and went back home that same day. Service was pretty okay, they got their money back. Unfortunately, due to the state of the room, I can't give this more than 1 star.
