About Hotel-Restaurant Schinvelder Hoeve
Euregionaal denken is daarbij uiteraard interessant.

Bas, one of the new co-owners, did a great job hosting my sisterβs 50th birthday party.
Great food, great service, great location!

β β β β β We booked the Tuinsuite for a one night getaway. Lynn greeted us on arrival, which was unavoidably late, around 9pm (2100), and got us settled before returning to a large wedding reception being held at Schinvelder Hoeve. She let us know about the breakfast the next morning, which was supposed to be served from 8-11. We told her unfortunately, we would have to be on the road by then. She offered to arrange an earlier breakfast to accommodate our schedule and when we arrived the next morning, Lynn was there preparing our meal, following a very late night.
All in all, the grounds were very nice and the hotel was very interesting and beautifully maintained and decorated. The room was very large and exceptionally fitted for a wonderful stay, but what really made this an outstanding stay was the effort with which they look after their guests.
This is definitely somewhere I will stay again if the opportunity to be in the area presents itself.

β β β β β Nice rooms, wonderful and spacious bathroom, nice breakfast buffet. Currently they are rebuilding the road in the vicinity of the hotel, so it is slightly difficult to reach it. However, the hotel is still secluded enough to be quiet and peaceful. We will surely come back

β β β β β Went here to see Sinterklas and it was really really nice. A place with lots of character right in the woods.

β β β β β Pros:
- Friendly staff who genuinely care about your wishes and your stay
- Lovely, quaint property that gives you a feel of being at home
- Absolutely amazing food thatβs delicious and well priced
- Room has a castle vibe to it
- Giant bathtub and overall large bathroom in the room
- Hotel is easy to find along the side of the road
- Terrace is nice to have drinks, especially when weather is nice
- Gas station and grocery within a short walking distance
Cons:
- Rooms are incredibly dated with carpet stains, banged up walls, and peeling wallpaper
- The fancy decor in the room makes it presumably hard to clean (I.e. big curtains and chandeliers), which will definitely trigger any and every dust allergy you have
- Hotel is very close to the road, and you can hear it well during the day and at night
- Beds are not the most comfortable, with a good nightβs sleep being difficult to get
- Small windows in the hotel room that are at a very low level make it impossible to rely on natural lighting to make the room bright, even in the middle of a sunny day
Overall, we enjoyed our stay here, but there were a lot of areas for improvement that wouldβve made the stay more comfortable. The hotel could certainly use some cleaning and maintenance, but the great food and accommodating staff made the stay worthwhile. But we do think weβd be incredibly sleep deprived if we stayed even a couple days longer.
