★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing hot spot in Amsterdam. So happy they finally re-opened. Perfect place to hang out for drinks or have dinner. One of the few spots in Amsterdam Noord that allow swimming as well! A true gem and must visit!

At last I have found an authentic, wood-fired Pizza maestro here in Amsterdam....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here two weeks ago for a sit down festival and paid 6.50€ for some chips, not realising that the kitchen was closed already. A girl walked up to me saying I would get a refund for this but I never did. Been trying to contact them via email and Facebook for 2 werks now and have had no reply :( Getting pretty frustrated. Do not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situated in an industrial harbour area in Amsterdam North at an approximate distance of 14 kilometers from Central Station, Ijland is a trendy beachclub restaurant and festival terrain, great for those looking for a change of scenery or wishing to escape from the city for a few hours. It makes for a great bike ride and is an ideal venue for an outing with the family.
Covering a substantial area, it's little surprise that Ijland has become a popular hotspot for event planners and party organisers. Open from Thursday through Sunday, there is indoor seating for 122 persons and for a further 88 on the water terrace and 160 in the gardens.A dj area provides top music entertainment. As far as "city beaches" are concerned, this place has a lot going for it. You can even go swimming in the Ij, made more desirable by the changing room and shower facilities.
Bar and food items are reasonably priced. The house wine is a very acceptable French Montgolfier Sauvignon Blanc at under €25 per bottle. The restaurant caters for vegans, as well as for meat and fish lovers. It offers both daytime and evening menus with a generous variety of international dishes and snacks.
For even more entertainment, there is a gaming cupboard with an exciting selection of games. There's a lot to see and do here.
