★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vandaag voor het eerst na 50 jaar als oud Midlaarder weer geschaatst op de ijsbaan van Midlaren. Er kwamen weer allerlei jeugdherinneringen naar boven tijdens het schaatsen. De boompjes die we als schooljeugd in de jaren 60 hebben geplant
rondom de ijsbaan waren grote jongens geworden.
Het ijs was jammer genoeg van een minder kwaliteit maar de gezelligheid was er niet minder om. Verder een pluim zoals
de ijsbaan, koek en zopie gebeuren en de speeltoestellen er bij liggen. Veel succes in de toekomst en ik kom zeker nog een keertje terug.

 Today for the first time after 50 years as an old Midlaarder skated again on the ice rink of Midlaren. All kinds of childhood memories came up during skating. The trees we planted as a schoolboy in the 60s
around the ice rink had become big boys.
The ice cream was unfortunately of a lesser quality, but the atmosphere was no less fun. Furthermore, a feather like
the ice rink, cake and zopie are done and the play equipment is there. Good luck in the future and I will definitely be back.
